History

The first link was setup by Mr. Ahmed Din (late), the Grand Father of the Ghafoor Brothers in 1882 when the master cutter was securing the 2nd Bn. Wiltshire Regiment in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Since then the firm expanded from Rawalpindi to Mhow and Jhansi and whereever the Regiment went, Singapore in 1910, Shanghai in 1929, and Hong Kong in 1950, the loyal tailor followed. During his contract with the British Forces, Mr. Ahmed Din (late) was highly commended for his outstanding workmanship by the officers of the 2nd Wiltshire Regiment.

In 1964, continuing the family's saga of the tailoring business in Hong Kong, Mr. Abdul Ghafoor (late), grand son of Mr. Ahmed Din (late) start working in Punjab House. Following the footsteps of the his grandfather, he soon became the tailor and contractor of Her Majesty's Forces. Almost 80 percent of the uniforms of the British Army peronnels were made there. They provided services for high ranking officers in the Ministry of Defence and the attaches of the British High Commission. We also supplied uniform for His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales.

On the international front, besides contractors for the forces, they also had branched into the export of ladies and gents garments to the Middle East and Europe from Pakistan and Hong Kong.

Introduction

In 1999, after the merger of Hong Kong with China and the return of British Forces from Hong Kong resulted in the relocation of the firm and the Ghafoor Brothers once again. This time its Lahore where they are resettled with a new name " A. Ghafoor International " under the supervision of the Mr. C.A. Saboor, son of Mr. Abdul Ghafoor (late). To continue the excellent tailoring experience, which is spread over a millenium, we join hands with the Tip Top Embroideries (Pvt.) Ltd. Islamabad to provide the same high quality products.

We are providing tailoring services to the British Armed Forces in United Kingdom by delivering Uniforms, Badges and Peak Caps. We also export Gents garments like trousers, cufflinks, suits to United Kingdom, Far East and Middle East. We are committed to carry out the vision of our forefathers and will continously serve with our high quality tailoring services to the industry.
